Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Specialist to join our team! As a Compliance Specialist, you will  be responsible for acting as a liaison between departments and vendors ensuring healthcare travelers are compliant while adhering to the industry’s best practices. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of industry operations, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Communicate with travelers and providers to collect documents, obtain background checks and any additional items needed for qualification and facility credentialing.
  • Review and audit files to ensure accuracy.
  • Verify and maintain certifications and licenses for travelers.
  • Meet hospital credentialing timelines to ensure a timely start date.
  • Communicate with providers to collect documents, background checks and any additional items needed for qualifications and facility credentialing.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with all teams, including sales managers.
  • Ensure proper compliance is maintained for all active employees.
  • Perform designated, weekly, monthly, and quarterly one-off tasks.
  • Communicate with travelers, facilities, and sales division in a timely manner. 
 
 

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in compliance within the healthcare staffing industry required.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry compliance rules and regulations.
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking, creativity, active listening and presenting.
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills that allows working on multiple tasks at one time.
  • Collaboration skills when working on projects with team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and recruiting software systems.
  • Ability to deliver reports and maintain documentation within databases.
